What Customers Say About Sony CMTHP7 Executive Microsystem:

some of the cds I play skip really bad. and wow the CD came out haha.

Can someone please tell me what antenna I can buy that would work with this. I've lost my antenna so I can't listen to the radio.

I've had this for a while now. until I beat the crap out of it lol.

I have no clue. speakers are blown.

At one time the Cds were stuck and I was unable to play any cds.

It's a design flaw. Sometimes unplugging the system and restarting it has helped get it working again, but, sooner or later, a CD will get stuck again. Very frustrating. Many people have reported that CDs can get stuck in the machine and a MECHA ERROR message is displayed. After which you cannot play or eject any of the CDs in the unit.

Since I got it, my perfered music styles have changed, and this little system has accomadated it perfectly. The system's ability to play MP3 and Data Discs has been a real advantage.I only have one complaint, and it's nothing major. I got this system abut 5 years ago, and it still serves me beautifulily. I also use it as my computer speakers and that works very well too using the MD function and a 6-foot RCA cable. I just wish that the system would display RDS when you are listening to the Tuner. I originally got it because I wanted a good, high-quality CD player and stereo. When I purchased it, I was about 8, and I really didn't know anything about what was good or bad, but I guess I picked good, because my dad is still telling me to turn it down because he can feel the vibrations on the other side of the house. The sound quality is incredible.

I have in my living room and it is great for back-ground music. It looks great with its silver finish. And the best thing is the sound is great for its size. I bought this system for my wife 4 years back for < 150$. The two speakers are good enough for a system this price.Plus it has optical out connection, so you can always use it as a transport to connect to a DAC for your HiFi experience.Overall, excellent system for the price. Sony is horrible for its slot loading CD changers. It has been working great so far. I have the DC-7 home theater system from Sony and it always hangs while loading CDs or DVDs.But this guy has not given any problems.

I took it to a local shop to repair it. What a waste. Just like all the other reviews, my Sony CD player stopped working after using it approximately 20 times. Cost $30 just to investigate and I never got an estimate to fix after 2 months in the shop. Don't buy. The sound is great - but not when it doesn't work. It too has eaten my CDs.
